Education and Outreach
The Lake George Land Conservancy works to raise community awareness about the
importance of land conservation by educating landowners, local professionals,
town boards, and local schools about available conservation options for
protecting natural lands in the Lake George basin. We create a number of
communication tools including
press releases, educational brochures, and
NEWSBRIEFS, our
quarterly newsletters received by more than 7,000 watershed residents.
We also accept invitations to speak to various local groups about our
programs and the importance of protecting the water quality of Lake George by
preserving the surrounding lands. Please
contact us if you are interested
in arranging a speaker for your group, club, or school.
Our Nature Walks&Talks series of
excursions
and workshops is designed to get you out on the mountains and waters of
Lake George to learn why land conservation is so important and what the LGLC is
doing to protect the lake. Contact us to make a reservation for our
upcoming events.
