LGLC Welcomes New Directors to its Board

We are excited to welcome three new members to LGLC’s Board of Directors:

Ed Becker, DVM, is a recently retired veterinarian who built and founded The Animal Hospital P.C. in Slingerlands, NY. Ed’s interest in wildlife rehabilitation began as a young veterinarian, treating wildlife when very few veterinarians were involved. For over 25 years Ed was the consulting veterinarian to the Endangered Species Unit of the NYS Depart- ment of Environmental Conservation. He has a home on Sabbath Day Point and winters in Cape Haze, Florida.

Elizabeth Guest has been a lifetime summer resident of Silver Bay, a fact which has great- ly influenced and guided her path in life. In 2000, the Guest family gifted a conservation easement on their 59 acres to LGLC, a gift that resulted in their induction as a founding member into LGLC’s Apperson Society. Elizabeth has raised her three sons and a niece in Silver Bay every summer, continuing the tradition into the next generation of a deep and lasting love for this magnificent lake and its surrounding landscapes.

Elizabeth Meigher was born and raised in New York City and graduated from St. Paul’s School and Dartmouth College, with a BA in English and Art History. After writing for Quest, a lifestyle magazine, she founded Q Magazine in 2005, a quarterly publication focused on effortless elegance and the timeless, classic world of Fashion. She took her first trip to Lake George when she was eight weeks old and has spent every summer since at her home on Crown Island, a treasured landmark that her family acquired in 1930.
